Scenario Design Grid for Transport Tycoon Deluxe

--------------------------------------------------------------
	-What is it?
This grid is used in conjunction with the TTD Scenario Editor.
When designing a scenario, the Scenario Editor provides an empty
grid with which to work. This makes planning and orientation
difficult (you only have sea everywhere!).
Paul Margetson developed a grid which contains a combination of land
and water, regularly spaced, which makes orientation much easier.
I have taken his grid and I've indicated the centre, and divided
the grid into quadrants by indicating the center point of each of
it's four sides.
In addition, I've created a graphic grid (in various formats) which
can be printed, so that you can plan your scenarios on paper before
starting to build them.
--------------------------------------------------------------
	-How do I use it?
Place the contents of this Zip file in your TTD directory.
Make sure that there are no files with the same names which may get
overwritten! (especially the .SV0 file included in the Zip).
If you have Visio installed, you can really play around with it.
You can superimpose resized Visio maps etc.
Every usable block is indicated. Please note that the blocks on the
edge of a land mass take up more than just one block, due to the
slope.
Example:
When you look at the printed grid, it indicates two blocks
of water between each of the land masses, but if you look at the
scenario in the Scenario Editor, it looks like one block of water.
The printed grid indicates all blocks as if they were raised, and
cannot accomodate the slope at the edge. Please keep this in
mind.
--------------------------------------------------------------
	-Tips
1. Enlarge the printed grid using a photo copier, this makes it even
   nicer to work with.
2. If you have access to it, print the grid on a sheet of
transparent plastic (made by Hewlett Packhard) using a
   laser printer.
You can place the plastic grid over a map and trace it with a
   non-permanent marker (or felt-tipped pen).

	-Contents of this Zip file
With this Zip file, you will receive the following:
1. Grid.GIF
This is a GIF version of the paper-based printable grid.
----------------
2. Grid.WMF
This is a WMF version of the paper-based printable grid.
----------------
3. Grid.VSD
This is a Visio version of the paper-based printable grid.
----------------
4. GridPlastic.VSD
This Visio version of the grid is meant to be printed on
transparent plastic, and has been adapted for that purpose.
----------------
5. Trt05.SV0
This is the actual TTD Scenario which needs to be placed in
your TTD directory. Make sure that you don't have another
scenario with the same name! Once inside TTD Scenario
Editor, this file will be called "PB Grid".

ENJOY!!!
Remember, everything that has anything to do with TTD is owned by
MICROPROSE (copyright etc. and Bla Bla). Beware!
